Amidst the coronavirus outbreak, doing reading at home might be a good idea as we practice social distancing. On 13 July 2020, we held the first charity book sale at our headquarters to promote the joy of reading, with books spanning a wide variety of categories, such as education, psychology, construction and engineering, literature, social sciences and travel etc. With our colleagues’ enthusiastic support, over 200 books were sold and all proceeds will be donated to Hans Andersen Club, a non-profit organisation serving underprivileged children and families in Hong Kong which promotes reading culture and fosters parent-child relation via storytelling. Besides book hunting, we also distributed ice-cream as a gift of appreciation, hoping to spread some positive vibes to our staff.
