The company is honored and excited that the construction project of the Sub –Structure and Superstructure for the Proposed China Unicom (Hong Kong) Global Centre (Main Contract) first win the taste of this renowned award. It was also the first Overseas Luban Prize for our mother company, Zhejiang Construction Investment Group, and well as for the whole Zhejiang Province.
This honorable “Luban Prize” was founded in 1987. The symbolic meaning of this award is achieved the the highest honour in the construction and engineering field of the Mainland China. By 2009, the Luban Prize has opened the category for overseas project. Up till now, only three projects in Hong Kong have been awarded this prize, one of which is the China Unicom (Hong Kong) Global Center.
The China Unicom (Hong Kong) Global Center is located in Tseung Kwan O Industrial Estate. The total site area is about 1.5 hectares. Adjacent to the Cable Landing Station, the building has excellent geographical advantages and was built to international standard specifications. Besides this renowned award, the building also won the Tier III Facility issued by the Uptime Institute, and the Gold Medal of Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design Building Rating System established by the U.S. Green Building Council.
